We are excited that you are interested in ordering Gardner Beef. We are a family run business and have been raising cattle in Bedford County for over 45 years. Our mission is to produce quality farm raised beef.
MEET OUR FAMILY
We strive to provide the best animal care, maintain excellent land stewardship practices and ensure competitive prices. All of our cattle are raised on open pasture and have access to an abundance of grass and are also fed a complete mixed feed ration that is formulated to meet all of their dietary needs.
DIVERSITY
We are a diversified operation selling direct to consumer beef, raising replacement heifers for dairy farms and selling hay and grain. We have also been fortunate enough to run our own agricultural fencing business to help support the needs of our local community and to utilize the Peaks of Otter Soil and Water Conservation District cost-share programs.
STEWARDSHIP
We are excellent stewards of the land and have been recognized by Peaks of Otter Soil and Water Conservation District for utilizing numerous different stewardship practices. Some of those practices include fencing out creeks, controlling erosion, planting cover crops and establishing rotational grazing.
COMMUNITY
Our family is very active in the farming community, promoting, educating and sharing our love for farming. Dr. Gardner and Sam both serve on the Bedford County Ag Board. Sam and Andy are also founding members of the Bedford County Farm Bureau Young Farmers. Ashley and Katie serve on the Bedford County Farm Bureau Women's Committee.
